Watchmen DVD
May 9, 2009I was searching on Amazon recently and saw that they had a slot available for the WATCHMEN DVD. Can’t wait for this to be available, I’ll probably wear out my eyeballs watching it five-hundred times. Anywho, like just about everything on the net these days, u can set yourself up on an alert and be the first to click-to-buy the dvd…i know i will. And/or wait to get the Director’s Cut. (being my usual self, i’ll probably get em both.)
have a good weekend and uhm…have a good weekend
cheers
Tony
I seriously can not wait! But I was wondering if there was any news about the releasing of a directors cut of the movie in theaters. Is is still a possibility???
I’ll probably wait for the directors cut. I can’t wait.
Still wish they’d filmed the scene with Rorschach and his land lady. Plausibility and time constraints and all but still.
I really cant wait for it either. Ill probably rent the edited version, and like watch it on PPV a million times, but I’ll w8 to buy the director’s cut all the way. Totally looking forward to that, and plus Zack said it’s very Rorschach heavy…
I’ll buy both versions, put it on my IPod, all of it. I saw it yesterday at the $2 theater in town, and was blown away all over again by Jackie’s Rorschach. Can’t think of another actor who could’ve brought this masked comic book anti-hero to life as vividly & enthrallingly as he does. He steals every scene he’s in; even a blue naked guy seems invisible next to the portrait of ferocity and pathos he creates for us as Rorschach. Brilliant performance, fabulous film! Lots more Rorschach scenes in the director’s cut, too? Bliss! I want it now!
I can’t wait for this either! I just saw it on the theaters (last Friday! XD) but I am so going to buy this dvd.
This last time I saw it, I really could appreciate the sutil voice changes between Walter and Rorschach, and between pre and post Blaire Roche Rorschach. Such a brilliant performance! Couldn’t have been more perfect.
I can’t wait to get the Director’s Cut! And also am very curious to see what special features there’ll be.
Can’t wait for either- but must get the Director’s Cut. Wish I could just buy both for the hell of it- but a student’s wallet cannot afford much…save for a very very short financial leash. v__v
Definitely getting the Directo’s Cut. And July 28th isn’t that far away! Woot! (Although, I wish the DVD covers weren’t so badly done. I think they should’ve just stuck to one of the posters.)
I plan on hanging out at Wal-Mart through the late night hours of the day before it’s available just to make sure that I’m definitely the FIRST to buy all the non-blue ray versions of this movie!!!!!! @___@
Kristin, I hear you! I’m going to rent the theatrical/director’s cut release and buy the ultimate cut release when it comes out right around my birthday in October. I’m sure Netflix will be wondering why I’ve been hoarding a single movie for 3 months…
Everyone loves to compare Watchmen with The Dark Knight, but I agree Tony, I’ll be watching it like a zillion times. I saw TDK in theaters twice and once at a friend’s house (we had a little DVD release party). I bought my own copy months ago and still haven’t opened it. I don’t think it holds up under multiple viewings like Watchmen does.
i dont know what features will be on the Dir’s cut, but cant wait to see all the extra features on it (at least i hope there will be a ton of extras)
Yeah Kristen, it holds up well to multiple viewings.
cheers

I am just gunna buy both, I don’t cause if I don’t eat for a week, I am getting both version’s of this film Dang it. Zach did such a good job and so did everyone else. <3
I cannot wait for more Rorschach scenes! (Dispite my fav character being Doctor Manhattan, Rorschach’s a close second! hell I like everybody!)
But yeah, I seriously cannot wait, I may even bus to NY for the limited theatrical run!
What I’d love to see as a special feature on the DVD is JEH’s Rorschach audition tape *hint, hint, nudge, nudge* LOL I’m sure it was totally cute <3
